Today we start as early as 6.30 AM after breakfast and we will pack our lunch and go for an acclimatization hike till Pestuav rock. It will take around 7-8 hours to complete this acclimatization hike. And this hike will really help your Summit.
So on this day along with this acclimatization hike make sure you are drinking adequate water and taking proper rest so you will get better acclimatized.
In the late afternoon we will come and have early dinner and sleep as you need to wake up early.
Today is our D Day. We have to leave the hut at midnight for the climb to Elbrus' west summit, 5642 m (18,510 ft).
With some additional cost it is possible to hire a snow-cat (Ratrak) for a group. This vehicle carries climbers up to Pastuav rocks and saves 4 hours and a lot of energy. Generally, for an average group, it takes about 9 hours to reach the top and 5 hours to come back to the hut. During this climb few technical sections are there but we will be roping up so don't need to worry at all.
Once you reach the summit you will be apparently standing on the border of Georgia and Russia.
This is a Spare day to attempt Elbrus if the weather on the previous day was bad else we will go back to Terskol.
When the team needs this day to attempt to reach the summit on this day, it is necessary to descend to the Baksan valley the same evening by all means, though it may be hard because the ski lifts stop working at 4 p.m.
Hence if we use buffer day, we need to start earlier than the previous day timing.
After reaching Terskol we will have dinner along with the Certification Ceremony.
Today after breakfast we will depart from the Baksan valley and head towards the airport and further to Moscow.
After reaching Moscow you can enjoy the night like anything to cherish your Elbrus climbing.
