Thailand's most impressive natural feature has got to be its islands and beaches. With over 2,400 km (1,500 miles) of coastline and almost 1,000 islands, you will find an island or beach to love, whether you want to party till dawn, learn to dive, or escape from the world on a secluded, romantic break. There are so many islands on both the west and east coasts of Thailand. On the west coast of Thailand, Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Phi Phi are famous for their well-developed facilities and plentiful activities; Koh Lipe and Koh Lanta have incredibly clear water with stunning coral reefs to snorkel over. On the east coast of Thailand, islands like Ko Samui, Ko Pha-Ngan, and Ko Tao have stunning remote beaches where you can escape the crowds.
Thailand is famous for being one of the most devoted Buddhist countries. Around 94% of Thailand's population are Buddhists. There are over 40,000 Buddhist temples and sanctuaries in Thailand, and about 300,000 monks. No matter which part of the country you find yourself in, there are always temples, shrines, and pagodas for you to visit. The most famous Buddhist sanctuaries in Thailand are Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok, Wat Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, the White Temple in Chiang Rai, and Wat Ratburana in Ayutthaya.
Thai gastronomy is highly praised worldwide. The combination of flavors, temperatures, textures, and cooking methods makes Thai food one of the most appreciated in the world. Some specialties you cannot miss are tom yum goong (spicy shrimp soup), pad Thai (Thai fried noodles), and som tam (spicy papaya salad). Learn more about must-try dishes in Thailand. Thailand also excels at street food. You’ll find plenty of basic stalls where you can grab ready-to-eat meals, snacks, fruits, and drinks in Bangkok and across the country
The history of Thailand is long and complex. The earliest Thai relics date back to the Paleolithic period, some 20,000 years ago. During its long history, the country has been influenced by Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia (elements of Khmer architecture are visible in many of the earliest temples), India, and China. Cities like Bangkok, Sukhothai, and Chiang Mai are home to many ancient ruins. Its history is also found in Thailand’s many art forms, like traditional Thai dancing or Thai puppetry performances.
The markets in Thailand are like no others in the world. Thailand hosts a range of markets from floating markets and nighttime street markets, to markets on train tracks. Even if you do not love shopping, you should visit one of Thailand’s local markets. For the classic example, you should go to visit Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok, which is the largest weekend market in Thailand, also in Asia. At the Maeklong Railway Market, you will see how vendors sell vegetables, food, and fruit on the train tracks. Or you could experience a long-tail boat ride down the canals to view Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.
Thailand is one of the most popular party destinations in Southeast Asia. Thailand’s party scene is varied, from eclectic beach bars and craft breweries to sophisticated rooftop bars. Some of the biggest party destinations in the country are the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, Khao Sarn Road in Bangkok, and bars in Pattaya.

Arrive at Denpasar Airport, transfer the group to the hotel in Ubud.
Balinese as they can get, and there are trees everywhere.
In the evening we shall go into the main town centre, and explore the pubs and cafes.
We drive down to Tegenungan Kemenuh village, and find our way down narrow paths and a series of steps down to a river.
There are several springs and streams on the way to the waterfall and spend time talking to the local villagers.
On our way back, those who want, can go for the Campuhan ridge walk. It’s a scenic walk which takes you past paddy fields, past a tiny village, and there are good sunset views.
Later, let’s have our dinner at a cosy restaurant, or “Warung” as they call it here.
We are going on a sunrise trek to Mount Batur - Bali's active volcano.
The trek starts in the middle of the night, so it is quite exciting. The vehicle comes to pick us up at 2:30 am, and from there is a 1.5 hour ride to the base of the volcano.
It takes about two hours to reach the top, max 2.5 hours if you are going up slowly. Faster people will do it within 1.5 hours.
The views from the top are awesome – the sun comes up from behind a mountain, and lake Batur shimmers in this early morning glow.
We get back to the hotel by 11 am. In the afternoon, we head off to the famous Bali swings. This is a beautiful place with nice panoramic views.
Note : Riding the swings is optional, and whoever wants to do it, can directly pay the organizers. Its our last night in Ubud, so let’s soak in the place one last time.
Today, we are headed to the island of Gili Trawangan, from Bali.
It is an island that not many in India have really heard of, and it is pretty, has a lovely blue green sea and is everything an island should be.
From Kuta, the cabs take us to the port (about 1.5 hours away) and from there we board the fast boat to Gili (about 2 hours time to reach).
Check in and relax at hotel.
After a lazy breakfast, we shall be taking a glass bottom boat ride to the two islands of Gili Air and Gili Meno.
The water is absolutely stunning. The boat stops midway to allow people to snorkel and I don't think you'd have seen more beautiful corals or marine life like what you are going to see here.
We will be back by afternoon. Let’s explore another part of the island today evening.
The day has been kept free for people to do what they want. One of the main reasons to keep this day free is so that people can spend the day doing Scuba Diving (not part of package inclusions).
Scuba diving does not require you to know swimming. It is a beautiful, peaceful sport, where you go inside the ocean (wearing fins, a diving suit with an oxygen cyclinder strapped to it).
We take the morning boat back to Bali.
Once we reach the port, a cab drives us down to the town of Kuta.
Kuta’s known for its pubs, lounges, bars, cafes, street-side shopping and night life.
Enjoy the evening in Bali’s party town!
The island of Nusa Penida lies to the west of Bali, and we shall drive down to the port of Sanur and take a boat from there to reach Nusa Penida.
Once we reach the island, after freshening up, we will visit Kelingking Beach.
Morning beach visit, Transfer to Kuta We have an afternoon boat back to Kuta, so in the morning we could head off to one of the pretty beaches and spend time there.
Later in the afternoon a ferry will take us back to Bali, and a cab will take us to our Kuta hotel.
This evening, we could head to Seminyak and visit the famous Potato Head Loungebar. Or alternatively check out the clubbing scene in Kuta or Seminyak.
Departure for airport The Tour ends today, people!
A cab will transfer us to the airport and from there it is back to India.
Hope you had a great trip, and we shall meet somewhere some time again soon!
